Valerie, it is going to depend on where you are, there are restrictions on posting on certain property with penelties fro infringement so check out your local byelaws. Leaflet drops are more relaxed especially as they are for your business, watch out for private houses displaying a 'no free papers' , 'no circulars' notice as they also tend to me they don't want you leaflet either.Morning / good afternoon every one , Just looking for a wee bit of advice regarding leaflets and posters , ive?
Hi. In UK fly posting - that is sticking posters on other peoples property without their permission is illegal.
Shops and other people will often put up a poster for you if you ask.
Re leaflets - no restrictions - just drop them through letterboxes - perfectly legal. Look out for notices saying no circulars which some people put on their door or gate.
To talk to someone on here click on their name/avatar - that will take you to their profile - there you will see if they allow email, IM etc.
Ask shops to put your posters / leaflets in their windows. Look around where you live for notice boards where you can put a leaflet. Consider putting a poster / leaflet up in the front window of your own home or even on a pole on your front lawn.
You will need to target your audience so if for instance you were selling car parts you could flyer a car park with a leaflet under every wiper or If it's children's clothes try the Mums outside your local school.
Try to link up with complimentary businesses so if say you're doing something connected with weddings you would get the local photographer to have a poster.
As for adding to your question. I don't know for definite but when I post an answer I get the option to edit it after I've posted so I assume there will be an edit button on the bottom of your question as well.
